To me, it’s about the work and digging deep to find that one true thing that speaks to the audience. I’ve always tried to put myself in the position of the audience. “Is this something I would like to read? Would it prompt me to take action or look into further?” 20 years of experience means I’ve had the time to build and develop my skill with one goal in mind… to understand who we are speaking to and achieving the best creative possible for the client. When your work is your passion, it just doesn’t get any better than this!
It’s funny when a writer is asked about their “vision”. We write words, but those words have to create a vision that speaks the universal language of curiosity, exploring vivid detail, discovering a new direction and developing innovative thought.
The importance of collaboration is priceless. One creative idea can ignite a hundred. When you work together and brainstorm new ideas and concepts, it can have spectacular results. So many times, I’ve had an idea in which a designer has taken it to a new level- one better than I started with- or there has been an image from a designer, that started the words flowing like crazy! Collaboration is a powerful tool. It gets the job done.
